I don’t know why I’ve never thought to do this before, but I’ve decided to compile a list of foods/meals I’ve seen in movies that I would want to eat. Like, really want to eat. These foods live in my head rent-free, and I can’t say that I have ever actually made any of these dishes. Maybe it’s because they only exist in a film and therefore aren’t actually attainable- if you tried to make it yourself, it would fall flat. So perhaps it’s best to leave the food in the film and keep dreaming. Nevertheless, here is my list.

The first meal on this list is from the Disney version of Heidi (apparently this was a two part TV series, but I only ever saw it as one movie on VHS). I haven’t thought about this meal in years until I was in the shower the other day and Victor Garber’s head popped into my brain. I was literally thinking what a nice face he has for period pieces (please tell me you’ve seen him in Tuck Everlasting), which led me to thinking about Jane Seymour and what a great face she has for period pieces, and remembering the first time I saw Jane Seymour was in Disney’s Heidi.

Victor and Jane, respectively
